About

Hi, my name is Berk (pronounced like Berkeley). I was born and raised in Istanbul, Turkey. After finishing my undergraduate at Bogazici University in 2016, I started my Ph.D. education at Stanford GSB. My research mainly focuses on innovation and exploration. More specifically, I try to understand how firms evaluate their ideas/products and how different evaluation methods impact the direction and the ultimate outcomes of innovation. At Stanford, I work closely with Jesper Sorensen, Julien Clement, and Bill Barnett, and spend a lot of time programming in R and Python.

I will be on the job market on the 2020-2021 term.
